DrAsmita Yardi passed MBBS and DOMS from Byramjee Jhejheebhoy Medical College, Pune  and stood 1 st in Pune University in Ophthalmologyin 1986.She has expertise in contact lenses and has completed her advanced training in Eye microsurgery especially cataract by Phacoemulsification and advanced small incision cataract microsurgery from Cologne in Germany.

She worked as eye micro-surgeon (visiting fellow) at Le Petit Salpatriere hospital in Paris and in Beilefeld, Germany in 2003.

She successfully completed her Lasik fellowship for correction of refractive errors,at Lion Eye hospital , New Orleans , USA in 2002
.
She has provided her expertise to the eye camp in Thika,Kenya in April 2004 and has participated in various state and national level  conferences.

She is a member of the All India Ophthalmological  society and the Pune Ophthalmological society since 1986.
